సర్వావిధ అలంకృతుడై తరలి వెళ్ళాడు అని శివపురాణంలో
చెప్పబడింది. ఎంత అద్భుతమయిన వర్ణనో కదా! కేవలం
కృష్ణుడి అలంకరణలో వినే కస్తూరిని శివుడు కూడా
వాడటం జరిగిందని ఈ శ్లోకం ద్వారా తెలుస్తోంది!
"కస్తూరి తిలక తిద్దువె కాలిగె గెజ్జె కట్టువె
కాశీ పీతాంబర కొడువె కణ్ణిగె కాడిగె హచ్చువె"
అంటూ ఆ విష్ణువుని భజనలో కూడా కస్తూరిదే
ప్రథమ స్థానం.
